The Advent Wreath cannot be missing in the weeks before Christmas.

But it was not even there so long. 1839 directed the Hamburg theologian Johann Hinrich Wichern (* 1808 +1881), the "Raue Haus", which was used as a home for children from the slums of St. Georg in Hamburg. He decorated the chandelier with lots of greenery and sat out 24 candles, one for each day in December until Christmas. This should be shown the children the time until Christmas Eve.

Every year again Advent will bring us back from the noisy everyday life and in the mood for the Christmas season, the best time of year, time for reflection. The Advent Wreath app brings a bit of this feeling to your Phone. Use the match to light up the Advent Wreath and listen to your favorite music. If you like it less reflective you can try to light it fast and manage your personal high score. But be careful. The Advent Wreath may go up in flames. Remember, just like in real life you can only burn as many candles as Sundays of Advent are over.
